I have been told that my name is an echo of the letter ELLA. For me it is, but that’s because I am the daughter from the ‘90s who looks and acts like a 90s girl. My name is actually an echo of the first letter of the Greek letter A and I am a descendant of Greek goddess Artemis. (Which in Greek mythology means “the one who walks by night”.) I have always thought this was cool.
The letter ELLA itself has been linked to ancient Greek philosophers, like Plato and Aristotle. It’s also been linked to Greek gods like Artemis and Zeus, so it’s a good thing that I am the daughter of Artemis and the one who embodies ELLA.
I think I may have even said it before, but I am the sister of Artemis. And I am the one who walks by night too, you know.
Yeah, I’m very much on the Artemis watch-list. Which means I can get into trouble pretty easily. But this is actually why I have been so excited about the new Deathloop trailer. Not only is it full of awesome powers and cool gadgets, it’s also a reminder that the Artemis sister I’m supposed to walk by night with is as dangerous as a real goddess.
ELLA is a character in Disney’s upcoming movie Artemis Fowl, which is already scheduled to be released later this year. But before that, Disney has now announced that Artemis will be played by actress and actress Sinise in ELLA I, an upcoming live-action film based on the Artemis character.
Sinise is very good in Artemis, but I can’t honestly say that she matches the badassery of Im. But ELLA I can definitely see with ELLA.
