I’m a big fan of self-awareness, and this article sums up what I’ve heard and learned about the topic. It’s a topic I’ve tried to tackle a few times with my online class here. I’ve tried to use the 3 levels of self-awareness to help myself become an even better person in the process.
In the class Ive taught, we learned how to self-aware with our own stories. So Ive learned how to be a more intelligent party-goer, and how to be able to tell myself stories about how I want to be. Its a skill that Ive never had to learn before, but Ive never been too bad at it.
Ive decided to use a 3rd level for this one. In my online class Ive taught, we learned how to crossword, but that was a completely different skill altogether. So Ive decided to use the other 2 levels of self-awareness to help myself write a crossword.
This is one of my favorite activities, and it definitely takes practice, but once you start, it becomes much easier to keep at it. If you can get past the wordiness, the ability to write a crossword and a way to tell yourself stories, all three levels of self-awareness are absolutely invaluable.
The wordiness is what makes crossword puzzles so fun to do. The ability to write a crossword is a skill that requires you to be able to hold a pen. Ive been pretty bad at it, but Ive also been pretty good at writing crossword puzzles. So Ive decided to use the other 2 self-awareness skills to help myself write a crossword. One of these skills is the ability to hold a pen.
Holding a pen is probably one of the most important things you can do to improve your crossword ability because it really is the only thing that allows you to write a crossword, if you get it right. I have been able to build up my crossword puzzle skills by using the other two self-awareness skills.
When you crossword, you’ll probably find that you’re thinking about other crossword puzzles that you’ve written in your head. So the first self awareness skill is to notice what you’re doing when you type. The second is to read what you type. You can quickly learn the difference between the two by reading the clues that you’re typing. The last self awareness skill is to notice mistakes in your crossword.
It seems that there is something about “self-awareness.” I have a hard time explaining what it is, but I think that a person who can recognize when they’re going on autopilot is self-aware. I don’t know why, but it seems to me that if someone has a real problem with something, they’ll probably be able to recognize it when they’re in autopilot mode.
The problem with self awareness is that it only applies to things that we consciously know about. For example, I dont know if it is true that I am self aware when I am typing a crossword, but I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that I am not self-aware when I am driving a car. If I am not aware that I am driving, I simply cant tell you whether or not I am trying to drive.
We know that autopilot is an ability that we can all use to our advantage. Sometimes, though, it can cause us to miss the mark, so to speak. When our brain is not able to take full control of our actions, and our mind is asleep, then we can lose touch with reality.
